Dadoo
Dadoo, de son vrai nom Daniel Mamadou Diouma Camara, né en 1974 à Marseille dans les Bouches-du-Rhône, est un rappeur et auteur-compositeur-interprète français. Il commence sa carrière en 1994 avec le groupe KDD dont il devient rapidement le leader à 18 ans, après un premier album avec le groupe, Opte pour le K. Après la séparation du groupe, Dadoo se lance dans une carrière solo qui se concrétise avec la publication de son premier album, France History X, qui atteint la 27e place des classements français

Depuis l’âge de 8 ans, Dadoo dessine, écrit et danse…Né à Marseille en 1974 d’un père musulman et d’une mère catholique, élevé dans un farouche esprit libre et d’indépendance, il s’essaie break-dancer sur le sol d’un bloc de St Antoine à Marseille
en 1986 et se relève rappeur à la Reynerie à Toulouse en 92. Cette même année, le groupe KDD fait la première partie de marseillais plein de promesse…IAM.
C’est le big bang, le rendez vous est pris avec Sony Music France, à Paris.

Après quelques années à composer en dilettante, le succès de KDD ouvre en 1998 une brèche sur la scène Hip Hop dans laquelle le groupe s’engouffre pour quelques années.
En trois albums (Opté pour le K, Résurrection et Un couleur de plus au drapeau (2000),
KDD redessine le paysage musical et impose son style.

SOLO:
Solo, Dadoo va multiplier les collaborations d’Akhenaton à Jean-Michel Jarre. Signé chez
Sony Columbia, France History X, son premier album solo, cartonne, le titre Sales Gosses connaîtra un succès immédiat avec un clip, écrit et réalisé par Julien Pelgrand, réunissant Jamel Debbouze, Éric et Ramzy, Dieudonné et Joeystarr.
CINE:
Dadoo, dont l’écriture est l’un des principaux axes de sa carrière, signe le scénario de Gomez et Tavarès, l’histoire de deux flics que tout oppose confrontés au milieu marseillais.
Il coréalise ensuite la bande originale de Taxi 3 pour Luc Besson qui voit émerger des valeurs montantes comme Diam’s, Vitaa, Corneille, et Kore et Skalp. Il compose la même année pour Alain Chabat la musique du générique du film RRRrrrr!!!, sorti en 2003, avec
les Robins des Bois.
REALISATION:
Dadoo, captivé par le travail de composition, réalise en 2006 le premier album solo de JoeyStarr Gare au Jaguarr, enregistré à Toulouse et nommé aux Victoires de la musique 2007 dans la catégorie « musiques urbaines ». Suit la tournée, où Dadoo accompagne au chant JoeyStarr et prend la direction musicale en intégrant les musiciens d’Enhancer.

En 2014, après quelques années d’absence des bacs,Dadoo fait son retour sous le nom Dadoo & The Classics, avec un nouveau clip intitulé Bullets. 2015, Dadoo rejoint Gari Grèu et DJ Kayalik de Massilia Sound System pour former le groupe OaiStar, s’ensuit la sortie de l’album Foules Colors et une tournée européenne de deux ans.
COMPOSITION:
Dadoo et son frère Billy Bats créent en 2017 le groupe Black Punhk et jouent pour l’Afropunk festival de Live Nation à La Villette et enchaînent sur le Festival Boulegan au Mucem à Marseille. Une tournée de trois semaines au Brésil, le Black Punhk Tour prend place à la biennale de la danse à Drago do mar et au Calvin Klein festival qui domine la playa do futur. NOUVEL ELAN:
Dadoo reprend la composition pour nous parler de nouvelles rencontres qui portent ce nouvel élan musical. Et si la chanson domine, pointent aussi des airs de hip hop-funk ou de jazz, on s’étonne de teintes électro ou de reggae. La place de la femme, la paternité ou la dimension des réseaux sociaux sont des thématiques fortes qui émergent de ses textes.

Dadoo sort un EP abouti, il fédère sa tribu composée d’artistes connus comme de talents émergents: Côté pointures, Dj Djel @Fonky Family compose Regarde le ciel, Imhotep (IAM) signe Mille Vies. Côté jeunes talents, Eyal chante Sales Gosses 2 et Clara CryBB, (la fille de Dadoo), chante au refrain de Regarde le ciel. Sans oublier les complices techniques, Jeff Dominguez au mixage et Alex Gopher au mastering.

Since the age of 8, Dadoo has been drawing, writing, and dancing… Born in Marseille in 1974 to a Muslim father and Catholic mother, raised with a fierce spirit of freedom and independence, he tried his hand at breakdancing on the ground of a block in St Antoine in Marseille
in 1986 and rose to prominence as a rapper at La Reynerie in Toulouse in 1992. That same year, the group KDD opened for the promising Marseille group…IAM.

Captivated by the work of composition, Dadoo produced JoeyStarr’s first solo album, Gare au Jaguarr, in 2006, recorded in Toulouse and nominated for a Victoires de la Musique award in 2007 in the “urban music” category. This was followed by a tour, during which Dadoo accompanied JoeyStarr on vocals and took on the role of musical director, bringing in the musicians from Enhancer.

In 2014, after a few years away from the recording studio, Dadoo made his comeback under the name Dadoo & The Classics, with a new music video entitled Bullets. In 2015, Dadoo joined Gari Grèu and DJ Kayalik from Massilia Sound System to form the group OaiStar, followed by the release of the album Foules Colors and a two-year European tour.
